Halle Bailey, renown award-winning actress and singer confirmed that she has welcomed her first child with boyfriend DDG in 2023
The actress,23 widely known for her role in The little mermaid has always kept her life private and has never confirmed the pregnancy rumors. Late last year she told off a fan who was speculating she was pregnant. The fan who had commented on Snapchat saying the actress looked like she had a “pregnancy nose” in a recent photo.
In response to the comment, Bailey shared a video saying,
“Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay.”
“You know why? Because I’m Black. I love my nose,” she continued. “What are you concerned about my nose for? Leave me the hell alone.”
Bailey finally put an end to the speculations after announcing the birth of her little boy on Instagram, posting a photo of her manicured hand holding that of a tiny hand with a gold bracelet etched with the name “Halo.”
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️,” she captioned the photo.

DDG on a new vlog uploaded on 8th January 2024 on YouTube opened up on becoming a parent and applauded Halle Bailey for taking motherhood so naturally.
“I wouldn’t have chose no other person in the world to have a child with,” he said. “We learning. She’s a great mom. It’s crazy, she’s amazing.”
The artist also admitted to have watched the birth of their son;
“I seen him come out. I watched the whole thing. I was honestly scared ’cause I was like, ‘Man, I don’t really want to see this.’
“But I’m like, ‘Damn, at the same time, I don’t plan on having a million kids … I’m probably not gon’ see this again.’ So I went down there and I looked, and it was the craziest shit I ever seen in my life, bro.
“I have a newfound respect for women. As a dude, we really got it easy. I couldn’t imagine pushing a baby out of my P.O.” He added
DDG also explained that they wont be revealing their Baby’s identity anytime soon saying;
“I don’t plan on showing his face. She doesn’t plan on showing his face. It’s just too priceless,” he explained. “He’s great looking … Think of him as being the best features of us possible — that’s what he looks like. He’s a beautiful baby.”
Hailey and DDG first appeared in public together in Dec 2022 and later confirmed being in a romantic relationship in march the same year. The couple has since then stepped out for events together they also attended the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars after party together, where they were all smiles on the red carpet. The two have also proved how strong their relationship is by speaking highly of each other in interviews. The couple has been together for an year.
