Tammy Sytch, a former WWE star known by the name Sunny, was given a term of more than 17 years in jail for her role in a 2022 Florida crash that claimed the life of a 75-year-old man. In response to the allegations arising from the March 2022 crash that claimed Julian Lasseter’s life, Sytch entered a plea of not guilty. Sytch struck a stopped Kia at a red light while operating a Mercedes-Benz, according to police reports.
Additionally, her driver’s license has been permanently revoked.
TMZ.com claims that during her address, Sytch sobbed and expressed regret for what she had done. “I know my words are not enough but please know that I think about you everyday,” the 50-year-old stated at one point, turning to face the victim’s family.
Before being led out of the courthouse by officials, Sytch looked stoic when the judge finally sentenced her to 17 years in jail.
Authorities claim that Sytch struck Lasseter as he was stopped at a red light. They said that she had a blood alcohol concentration of at least.08 at the time of the collision.
Over the event, Sytch was charged with eight counts in total.
This wasn’t the first time Sytch was charged with driving after intoxication. She had been arrested for driving while intoxicated at least six times before.
