Click2houston was the first to report that a 23-year-old father was shot to death as he was driving to take family photos. The father was alongside his 5-month-old daughter who was inside the vehicle in the Alief Area of Southwest Houston.
The Baby was Uninjured in the Incident
According to Houston police the baby was uninjured with the officers seen holding the man’s baby at the scene.
The family told KPRC 2’s Bryce Newsberry that there were two others inside the car during the shooting, a woman and a male roommate. They said the roommate had to be rushed to the hospital. The victim’s vehicle which was riddled with bullet holes through the driver’s side front windshield was parked in front of Well’s Fargo bank with damage to its front end. According to the family, the father worked as security and was hardworking and loving. Lt. Larry Crowson with HPD said, “We don’t know if it was targeted, we don’t know if it’s road rage.” Investigators are trying to determine a motive.
