Sentencing for Supplying Ketamine to Matthew Perry

Erik Fleming’s sentencing became a major part of the case because he was not only charged for supplying drugs, but also for being part of a criminal conspiracy to distribute ketamine that resulted in Matthew Perry’s death.

In court, prosecutors explained that Fleming was part of a wider network of people working together to supply and move illegal ketamine. This conspiracy included coordination between dealers, middlemen, and distributors who helped keep the drug supply going. Fleming acted as a link in this chain by connecting the main supplier to Matthew Perry and helping move the drugs through the network.

Fleming pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine and distribution resulting in death. By admitting guilt, he accepted that he knowingly took part in a coordinated illegal operation rather than a single isolated transaction.

Fleming, according to the Associated Press, told Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett in court on Wednesday: "It's truly a nightmare I can't wake up from. I'm haunted by the mistakes I made."
